Artist statement: This painting celebrates the quiet beauty and distinctive character of Western Australia's tuart woodlands. Inspired by the natural colours, textures and changing light of the bush, I have used expressive brushwork and a vibrant palette to capture the graceful forms of the trees and the richness of the forest floor. Soft pinks, warm ochres, cool blues and layered greens bring a sense of warmth and movement to the landscape. Through this work, I hope to evoke a feeling of peace, familiarity and connection to place, encouraging viewers to slow down and appreciate the beauty of our treasured natural environments.
