89. Hold the Day

Artwork number: 89
Artist: Holly le Juge de Segrais
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Description: 'Hold the Day', acrylic on canvas, 76x76cm. A red rock cliff glows in late-afternoon light above grass clumps and wildflowers, with long violet shadows across the sand.
Artist statement: 'Hold the Day' was inspired by a 4WD journey to James Price Point in the Kimberley, where we shared a beach barbecue with friends and then chased the last of the sunlight home. I wanted to capture that late-afternoon glow on the red earth, a moment of warmth and togetherness at the end of a perfect day.
