107. Pink Dawn

Artwork number: 107
Artist: Bree Omodei
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Description: Pink Dawn is an interpretation of the landscape I live in, bush on one side, ocean on the other. The bright pinks and oranges reflect the morning sunrise that always captivates me. The calming greens and blues represent the crystal, clear ocean on our doorstep. The darker blue brings a sense of stillness that is the night sky.
Artist statement: My work is often stylised scenes of landscapes, women or still life. Abstract painting really excites me too. I love working and experimenting with colour, shapes and pattern. I draw inspiration from the natural environment, people and ordinary everyday objects.
Much of my work is intuitive, painting mostly with acrylic paint.
