139. The Build Up - Storm Looming

Artwork number: 139
Artist: Karen Seaman
Description: Handbuilt ceramic forms, found objects and metalic patinas.
Artist statement: I create sculptures about the sense of space and atmosphere in landscapes. I question how we perceive ourselves in relation to the environment surrounding us. I work with clay, handbuilding figurative and abstracted forms that reference the landscape. I want you to feel the build up a storm on the horizon as the season changes.
