148. Misty Morning at Nana Glen

Artwork number: 148
Artist: Teresa Smith
Medium: Oil on canvas
Description: Rural landscape.
Artist statement: This image was pictured from the verandah of an old farmhouse in Nana Glen NSW. I was staying there as a guest of a new soul mate I was gradually falling in love with, which made the beauty of the morning mist even more lovely and memorable. A few months after I took the photo, the Black Summer bushfires took out most of the Elms Quarry Road leading to the farmhouse. The trees in the image survived, but not the farm and all the trees on the opposite side of the road which became a lunar landscape.
