Description: A scene of the Wandoo trees in Dryandra Regional Park near Narrogin early on a foggy morning, August 2026.
Artist statement: The wandoo trees are favourite nesting sites for parrots, pardalotes and other species seeking hollows. I visited Dryandra in search of Purple-crowned Lorikeets which fortunately were there seeking nesting hollows. I was taken by this particular Wandoo tree which I photographed early on a cold morning with remnants of fog still remaining. After returning home I attempted to capture it in watercolour.
