Description: Redgate Beach in Margaret River is a place I deeply love. In this painting, I wanted to capture the beauty of its turquoise waters, rugged coastline and natural surroundings, along with a personal moment shared with my husband as he walks towards the ocean with his surfboard.
For me, this painting is about connection and the simple moments that make life special. We often move through our days without realising how precious they are until they become memories. One day, we may look back on these ordinary moments and wish we could experience them all over again.
Through this painting, I hope to capture not only the beauty of a place close to my heart, but also the feeling of being there, together, in a moment that may one day become a treasured memory.
Artist statement: My art is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the personal connections we form with the places and people we love. Through my paintings, I aim to capture not only what I see, but also the feelings and memories that make a moment meaningful.
I am drawn to the landscapes of Western Australia, particularly its coastline, where the colours, textures and changing light create a constant source of inspiration. My work often reflects a deep appreciation for nature and the simple moments in life that we sometimes take for granted.
For me, painting is a way to preserve these moments and share what they mean to me. I hope my work encourages others to pause, connect with their own memories and appreciate the beauty in the world around them.
