1A. Ferrymans Journey

Artwork number: 1A
Artist: Kaybe Adam
Description: A lone ferryman carrying his vessel across the boundary between worlds.
Artist statement: I create metal sculpture from steel, scrap and repurposed materials. With my trusty welder and a healthy dose of fire, I turn industrial materials into something with character and story.
As a journeyman gone local metalwork teacher, I've spent years working with steel, but art has given me a reason to push those skills further.
My work draws on nature, nautical, Norse and the raw, imperfect beauty of metalworking. I'm interested in pieces that feel handmade, weathered and alive. Where craftsmanship mixed with the unpredictability of the medium create truely unique pieces.
