Description: My practice explores the relationship between nature, materiality and the architecture of the natural world. Through sculpture and assemblage, I combine reclaimed and recycled materials with organic elements, including shells, timber, bone and metal, transforming discarded and natural materials into contemporary artworks.
Artist statement: Emma is a multidisciplinary artist, sculptor and designer whose practice explores the relationship between nature, materiality and the built environment. With a background in interior architecture, botanical sculpture, floristry and horticulture, her work bridges the natural and constructed worlds.
Working with reclaimed, recycled and organic materials, including timber, shells, bone and metal, she transforms overlooked elements into sculptural works that explore resilience, sustainability and the intrinsic beauty of the natural world. Her practice draws inspiration from the land, ocean and the architectural structures found within nature, inviting viewers to reconsider our relationship with the environment and the materials we leave behind
