Aboriginal Relations Policy
The Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and honours their enduring connection to Country, culture, and community.
As a volunteer-run organization, we are committed to fostering meaningful relationships with Aboriginal peoples through collaboration, respect, and shared stewardship of the Ludlow Tuart Forest and the historic Ludlow Settlement.
Our approach to Aboriginal relations includes:
Supporting Aboriginal Volunteers: We prioritise complementing and strengthening the involvement of Aboriginal volunteers.
Collaborative Engagement: We seek opportunities for Aboriginal voices to guide and enrich our restoration efforts, especially in cultural education, land care, and storytelling.
Respectful Inclusion: We aim to include Aboriginal perspectives in our decision-making and activities, ensuring cultural sensitivity and mutual respect.
Ongoing Dialogue: We welcome open conversations with Aboriginal communities to deepen understanding and build long-term, trust-based relationships.
This policy reflects our commitment to reconciliation through action, humility, and shared purpose.
