Celebrating Trees
Please click the link below and complete the form to request a free canvas. There are pick up locations in Perth, Darlington, Capel, Busselton and Margaret River.
Once your painting is finished, please submit the entry form. The close date is Sunday 17 May 2026. We will accept all entries so there is no need to complete this form early.
Our 8 Step Process
1. Read our Terms & Conditions
Please read our Terms & Conditions of entry.
2. Choose your subject tree
Your subject must be an existing tree, anywhere in the world.
3. Find the GPS coordinates
Open Google Maps and search for the position of your tree. Then right-click (desktop) or long-press (mobile) on the exact spot to reveal the latitude and longitude. The coordinates will be in Decimal Degrees (DD). e.g -33.566311, 115.552587
We have included some significant trees in our tree register suggestions.
4. Pick up your free canvas
We are waiting on a delivery of stretched canvases and will advise you once they are in the pick up locations. For now, just complete the canvas request form.
5. Paint your tree portrait
The subject tree must be painted on one of our free issued 8-inch x 8-inch stretched canvas.
6. Submit your entry
Submit your entry by Sunday 17 May 2026. Note that all entries must be remain unframed.
7. Deliver your painting to a drop off point
Paintings can be dropped off at any of the canvas pick up points or posted to Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group, PO Box 650, CAPEL WA 6271
8. Come along to our exhibition
All competing artists will be invited to the exhibition at the Ludlow Gallery.
