Stores building (2278)

Heritage Council assessment
Store (Building 2278) is a rectangular timber-framed building, clad with treated pine boards and a corrugated iron, gabled roof. At the southern end, the building has hopper windows and a timber ledge and brace door. At the northern end there is a metal roller door.

Future use
The building will be used for meetings, art displays and other exhibitions.

Funds required
This building was originally fabricated using untreated structural pine. Unfortunately, white ants have given it their own treatment over the past 60 years and made a pretty good job of it. The building needs a complete roof restoration and other works.

We are seeking donations to purchase the the original corrugated galvanised roof sheets and hardware to restore this heritage listed building.

Materials needed

  • 25 corrugated galvanised iron sheets
  • 80 metres Galvanised iron gutter and hardware
  • 300 galvanised roofing nails
