Ludlow was the first purpose-built forest management settlement and amongst the very few left standing examples of forestry life and purpose that can be preserved, displayed, understood and respected by future generations.

The buildings and engineered timber structures although abandoned some years ago can be reasonably restored, secured and made safe.
